What is Love?

People seem to drift away from this question but I have decided to ask direct questions to possibly stimulate YOUR THOUGHTS.

Is being IN love and LOVING someone the same?
If not, How are they different?

Would you love your boyfriend/girlfriend like you love your family?
Why or Why Not?

If Not, are there different levels of love?
How would someone choose how much they love a person?

Is there age that you have to be to truly understand love?
What is that age?
Why is there a age?
If there's not an age can a 13year old female fall in love?

Describe Love?
What is it and how does someone know if they have this feeling?

Well...honestly I couldn't answer any of those questions...I came to the conclusion
that Love is simply an emotion...and is indescribable.

  1. 1.First off, being in love and loving someone is obviously different. A person is not intimately in love with their mom. Loving someone could possibly mean that they deeply care about someone's wellbeing and life.

    2. A good loving successful relationship with a boyfriend and a girlfriend should share both types of love with each other.

    3. Personally I believe that experiences and time are key in determing if you are in love or not. A 13 year old has not lived or had time to get to know her lover long enough to make that judgment. For example;During 2-4 years, you may think you know your boyfriend or girlfriend, But really it takes a lifetime.

4.There are three types of love from my understanding.( Conditional love and Unconditional love). We answered above loving a person conditionally, whether it is intimately or a deep care, but did not mention the way God loves us unconditionally. (definition in the bible)

    5. Love is describable. The english language has more nouns than adjectives and verbs. I bet other countries have other ways of describing love. Due to our inadequate vocabulary in the english language. We are forced to think of love as something so abstract and rare. For example;Love is a strong sense of affection and attachment. Love is not tangible.

I hope that answered your question. I've been explaining this to people in the last 2 weeks.
